Vetalog Parenteral (Sterile Triamcinolone Acetonide Suspension USP) is a sterile suspension 6 mg triamcinolone acetonide per mL. Triamcinolone acetonide is a highly potent synthetic glucocorticoid which is primarily effective because of its anti-inflammatory activity. The apparent analgesic effect is a result of the anti-inflammatory properties of the drug. Vetalog Parenteral (Sterile Triamcinolone Acetonide Suspension USP) should not be used to alleviate pain or reduce inflammation arising from infectious states unless concomitant antimicrobial therapy is given.
